What is Taskhide?
Taskhide is a portable, small tool that allows you to hide your Windows taskbar. It’s free, quick and simple. Maybe you’re using another dock and you want to hide the default one, this is the tool for you.
How does it work?
It looks for the taskbar and hides it. When the taskbar is hidden, you can always unhide it by double-clicking (or right-clicking) the icon that is placed on the bottom-right of your screen. Different settings are available like the ability to start Taskhide with Windows and to auto-close.
Auto-close Taskhide: This setting makes it so that when Taskhide starts with Windows, it hides your taskbar, waits 5 seconds (in case you want to disable the setting) and then closes itself.
I recommend you switch the “Auto-hide the taskbar” option in you Taskbar properties so that you don’t see it at all. I could have done that by code but it would require high privileges.
